This Disclaimer outlines important information about your use of Taskpull’s website and services. It applies to all content on the Taskpull platform and any interactions you have through it. Please read it carefully:
1. Platform Role & No Guarantee of Success
Taskpull is a marketplace facilitator. We connect Buyers and Freelancers but do not guarantee that you will find the perfect Freelancer or that a Freelancer will find work. Results may vary. Any testimonials or success stories on our site (if provided) are not promises that you will have the same experience. You use the Platform understanding that outcomes depend on many factors, including your own skills, efforts, and the specific circumstances of each project.
We do not guarantee that using Taskpull will generate any specific amount of income for Freelancers or that projects will always meet Buyers’ expectations. While we provide tools (like ratings and profiles) to help inform decisions, you must ultimately judge and accept the risk of hiring or working with someone.
2. No Professional Advice Provided by Taskpull
Any information or content on Taskpull’s site (such as blog articles, guides, forum posts, etc.) is for general informational purposes. It is not professional advice. For example, if we publish a blog post about “how to price your services,” that’s not accounting or financial advice tailored to you. Or if we have a help article on “how to write a contract,” it’s not legal advice.
Taskpull is not a law firm, not an accounting firm, not an HR agency. No attorney-client or other professional relationship is formed by users reading content on our site or communicating with our support. Always consult a qualified professional in relevant fields for advice specific to your situation (legal, financial, tax, etc.).
3. User Content and External Links
Content on our Platform often comes from users (profiles, job listings, messages, etc.). We do not pre-approve or endorse user-generated content. Thus:
-
If you read a Freelancer’s profile or a blog post by a user, understand that we haven’t verified all claims. Use your judgment. We strive to remove false or misleading info if we find it, but we can’t guarantee every piece of content is accurate or reliable.
-
External links: Users might share links, or our site might contain links to third-party websites (for example, a Freelancer might link to their portfolio site, or we have a link to a payment provider). These links are provided for convenience. We are not responsible for the content or practices of external websites. Clicking those links is at your own risk. We do not warrant or endorse the accuracy of information on external sites. Check their policies and don’t assume Taskpull’s standards apply to them.
4. Transactions and Interactions at Your Own Risk
Any dealings between users (payments, service delivery, etc.) are between those parties. Taskpull facilitates payment processing and offers a dispute system, but we do not guarantee the performance of either party. When you enter a contract through Taskpull:
-
For Buyers: You hire Freelancers at your discretion. We encourage due diligence: review profiles, communicate thoroughly, perhaps start with small milestones to build trust. Taskpull is not liable if a Freelancer’s work is poor quality, delivered late, or if they fail to deliver (though see our refund policy for remedies). We disclaim any implied warranty that the services obtained via Taskpull will meet your expectations or requirements.
-
For Freelancers: You engage with Buyers at your own risk. We cannot guarantee that a Buyer will actually use your deliverables or that they won’t misuse them. We can’t guarantee you’ll get paid except as covered by our payment protection procedures (if you follow the rules, deliver through the system, etc., we aim to ensure you get paid – but if a Buyer commits fraud or issues a chargeback, there’s a risk until resolved). Use judgment before beginning work – if something seems off about a Buyer (e.g., they ask for free work upfront), be cautious. Taskpull is not responsible for what a Buyer does with your work product or how they may later represent it.
5. “As-Is” Service & Technical Issues
We make no warranty that the Taskpull Platform will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free. Technical issues may occur: system maintenance, bugs, or unforeseen outages. We strive to fix problems quickly, but you may experience occasional downtime or glitches. We do not guarantee that our site or mobile app will be compatible with every device or browser.
Downloading material from Taskpull (like attached files in a delivery) is done at your own risk. We cannot ensure files are free from viruses or harmful components, though we do have virus scanning on uploads. Use up-to-date antivirus software on your side as a precaution.
6. No Endorsement of Users
Taskpull doesn’t endorse any particular Freelancer or Buyer. Even if a Freelancer has a “verified” badge or high rating, that is not a formal endorsement or guarantee by Taskpull of their skill or reliability. It’s information for you to consider. Similarly, just because a Buyer’s payment is verified doesn’t mean we endorse their project as legitimate beyond the payment method being valid.
We do not screen every user for legal compliance or trustworthiness (though we may verify IDs and such). Meetings Off-Platform: We strongly discourage taking communication off-platform because it’s against our terms and can be unsafe. If you still choose to meet or communicate outside (say, an in-person meeting or a call outside our system), understand Taskpull has no involvement in that and cannot ensure your safety or that the other party will do as they say. Always exercise common sense precautions when interacting with someone new.
7. Limitation of Liability (Restated)
This is also covered in Terms, but to reiterate in plain terms via this disclaimer: Taskpull is not liable for damages that arise from your use of our platform or from your contracts with other users, except as required by law. This means:
-
We are not responsible if you incur losses or damages because you used our site or couldn’t use it (due to downtime or any other reason).
-
We are not responsible for the conduct or content of users – if someone defrauds you or posts defamatory info, while we will try to help and remove bad actors, we aren’t liable for that initial harm.
-
In jurisdictions where we can limit liability, we will not pay you for indirect or consequential losses (like lost profits, lost opportunities) arising from the platform usage. Our Terms detail the liability cap (e.g., limited to fees paid, etc.) which applies here as well.
8. Changes and Errors
While we work hard to provide accurate information, the Taskpull website may inadvertently contain typographical errors or inaccuracies. We reserve the right to correct any errors or omissions and to change or update information at any time without prior notice. This includes information about pricing, availability of features, or content. If you spot an error, feel free to let us know so we can fix it.
Also, any forward-looking statements (like references to upcoming features or plans) are subject to change. Do not rely on them as guaranteed. Plans might change.
9. Third-Party Advertisements or Promotions
If in the future Taskpull displays advertisements or promotions from third parties, note that these are not endorsements. Any dealings you have with advertisers found on Taskpull are solely between you and the advertiser. We aren’t responsible for any loss or damage of any sort incurred as a result of such dealings or the presence of third-party ads on our site.
10. Acceptance of Disclaimer
By using Taskpull, you acknowledge that you have read this Disclaimer and agree to use the site and services at your own risk. This disclaimer is not meant to scare you, but to ensure you understand that an online marketplace has inherent uncertainties and that Taskpull’s role has limits.
If you ever have questions about what is covered or need clarification on any point, you can reach out to us at support@taskpull.com. We believe in transparency and will gladly explain how things work to the best of our ability.
Remember: Stay savvy, communicate clearly, and use common sense while using Taskpull. We’re here to facilitate connections and will support you within our capacity, but success largely depends on you and your business counterpart.
